Nalini practices Immigration Law and assists non-Canadians with immigration, refugee matters, and citizenship and was named to the 2021, 2022 and 2023 editions of the Best Lawyers™ in Canada for Immigration Law.

Nalini practiced immigration and refugee law at the Federal Department of Justice in Winnipeg law for 18 years prior to leaving the government in order to do something she had always wanted to do as a lawyer: assist non-Canadians with immigration, refugee matters, and citizenship. She has also practiced in the areas of extradition and mutual legal assistance, and dealt with constitutional challenges to criminal/parole law amendments. Nalini has appeared in the Federal Court on countless immigration and refugee judicial reviews, as well as before the Federal and Manitoba Courts of Appeal and the Immigration and Refugee Board.

Nalini currently chairs the Immigration Section of the Manitoba Bar Association and has presented at the Canadian Bar Association’s national annual Immigration and Citizenship conference and for the Law Society of Manitoba and Manitoba Bar Association. She has mentored many students, acting as articling principal to several.
